I have a second home that I would like to put into a trust.
What type of deed should I use to put a second home into a trust? I think maybe the quitclaim deed but I'm not sure. Is there a specific deed for transfers to a trust?

Is the trust already in existence? Or is it to be initiated? If you are initiating a trust your lawyer or party drawing up the trust can place the property into the trust properly for you. If you already have a trust you can use a quitclaim or a warranty deed. A quitclaim merely relinquishes any interest you have in the property to the transferee. A warranty deed established that you own the property and are transferring it.
