Deed unmarried owners
My father recently passed and his girlfriend is listed first on the property. My father said the property will be passed to me when his girl friend dies. How can this be set up? How can I find out if this is true?

Really depends on how your father and his girlfriend were vested on the deed, do you know how that was?

Yeah, really has everything to do with how the property was titled. If she is on the title the best you can hope for would be to receive his interest and the girlfriend would keep hers. However, it could have been set up to where she received his interest.
