At Deeds.com<\/em>, we\u2019ve been tracking the impact of artificial intelligence<\/a> on the real estate industry for quite some time now. The Colibri Real Estate company is the latest to make its mark at this nexus. It\u2019s rolling out a new AI certification for agents \u2014 the first of its kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colibri says 75% of the country\u2019s top brokerages already have and use AI. The new certification, Colibri claims, meets a \u201ccritical need for structured AI education\u201d for agents. So, what does AI certification give an agent?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the Message to Agents: Work Smarter and<\/em> Harder?    <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBuyers expect instant responses, slick property presentations, and insights that used to require a crystal ball \u2014 or hours of digging through comps.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s Colibri\u2019s take on today\u2019s home buyers: not very patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about its take on agents spending time applying their discernment skills to a particular home and market? The company thinks agents should ditch their spreadsheets, sticky notes, and search engines. With the new \u201cReal Estate AI Specialist (REAIS) Certification\u201d an agent can \u201cwork smarter, not harder.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The certification involves a seven-hour course you can do \u201cin your PJs if you want!\u201d For \u201c$179 \u2014 less than your monthly coffee habit,\u201d you can learn to \u201cautomate tedious tasks like lead follow-ups, listing descriptions, and marketing, freeing up time for client relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cImpress clients with timely updates,\u201d says the company. Maybe this\u2019ll be great for major, efficiency-focused companies that routinely leave us in mazes of recorded voices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sure, AI tools can find patterns in market data that an agent would never have noticed. On the other hand, anything that\u2019s marketed primarily to increase efficiency will come along with trade-offs. AI is no exception. AI generates material so quickly that, in many instances, it\u2019s all the more difficult to sift the wheat from the chaff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Does the Certification Course Promise Learners?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The course is offered online, to be completed at the agent\u2019s own pace. It teaches a set of new talents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
