In Alabama, a full price lien is sought to secure the full price specified for any materials furnished on a construction job. To claim a full price lien, the full price lien notice must be provided to the property owner of record before materials are furnished on the job. Full price liens are available to prime contractors who have contracted directly with the property owner.

Under Ala. Code Ann. 35-11-210, before furnishing any material for use in the project, prime contractors must notify the owner or his or her agent in writing, of certain specified prices. Unless the owner formally objects, this preliminary notice reserves the prime contractor's right to a lien for the full price as specified in the notice, without regard to whether or not the amount of the claim for the material so furnished exceeds the unpaid balance due the contractor. If the owner objects to the prices, he must notify the prime contractor in writing before the material is used, that he or she will not be responsible for the price thereof. This allows both the contractor and the owner to understand the terms of the contract, and gives them an opportunity to discuss contentious points before the work begins.

The notice identifies the parties, the location where the work or improvement will take place, the nature of the materials or services, the expected costs, and relevant dates. Deliver the completed notice to the owner via both USPS First Class and Certified mail.

This is a great tool to use. It makes recording documents so easy and convenient. The website is very user-friendly. The only suggestion I would have is if the website could email me directly when I have a message so I don't have to keep checking back to see if my document is ready.

Everything went well except that any information that I typed in on the computer download moves upward so that the letters or numbers are somewhat elevated above the line that should be even with the words on the form. I think it will be acceptable to the county recorder, but I don't especially like to submit things that appear uneven. I asked for help but just received a robotic reply that said to take steps that I already had done.
So unless you know a way to correct this I likely won't use your forms again.

It's useful to have forms specific to the County as well as the State. The examples are also helpful, but it would be even more helpful to see an example of a complete and successfully filed package. I will go the County Recorder's Office to see if I can find an example there.

The form I needed was correct and paginated as required. It was accepted w/o penalties. I was not happy about the information which I found way too scant. One sample form does not cover enough possibilities, more would be helpful. The instruction page is a bit better but sometimes it is not clear enough - sometimes it is not clear what the numbered items in the form correspond to. There is no guidance about the process and it would take very little to provide it. Example about "description", say where to find. There is a bunch of "free forms" attached but no guide on which are needed and when. Example: at the counter I was given a paper "conveyance" form and asked to fill it - I did not know it was needed and what it did and so I had not d
