Discharging a Lien in Kentucky
When a lien has been paid off in full or is no longer necessary for any other reason, best practices direct the claimant to file a document discharging the lien. Kentucky does not provide for a specific mechanism of discharging a lien, as a lien already expires twelve months after its filing without any enforcement action. This document, however, reduces the amount of time a lien is in effect.
File the Discharge of Lien document in the county where the property is located (this should be the same location where the statement of lien was originally filed). The Discharge of Lien contains then following information: 1) name of the payor and payee; 2) payment amount; 3) name of person who originally furnished labor or materials; 4) description of items furnished; 5) address of the property; 5) the owner's name, and 6) the book and page number where the lien was recorded. Once the Discharge of Lien is filed and recorded, the lien will be struck from the record.

Great product. It would be better if the document files were not embedded within other files. It made downloading a little confusing. The titles of the forms did not match exactly word for word, which required a lot of back and forth to make sure I had downloaded the proper document. What would be great is if once you download a document, the hyperlink changed color, or somehow denoted the document had been downloaded. Just a suggestion. You have my email address if you have questions. STILL! Five stars for you guys. I would not let that hiccup dissuade me from buying any form package from you guys. Thanks!

It was very difficult to maneuver through your website the wording on certain things are very difficult to figure out. I can't seem to get through to one place that I want versus what I don't want. The website was easy to navigate but only needed one form. The guide was helpful also. Cost want high but contains many documents that I didn't need but may someday. Could not save form after completed but printed copies that needed to be court filed.
