Discharging a Claim of Mechanics or Construction Lien in Michigan
Lien claims must be discharged when the underlying claim is paid or the lien must be dissolved for any other reason provided by law. To accomplish this, the claimant records a discharge of lien document in the Register of Deeds in the county where the property is located. The lien is officially released after recording this form.
The discharge of lien form contains the following information: (1) lien claimant's name, (2) amount of the lien claim, (3) the book and page number where the recorded lien claim can be found in the county register of deeds, (4) property owner's name, (5) legal property description, and (6) common name of the property. Take care when discharging the lien, because once the lien has been officially released, the claimant loses a valuable tool to coerce payment.

I found this site a must. It provided all the forms I needed to file a Quit Claim Deed. I filed what use to be called a Quick Claim Deed 30 years ago. You only had to file the one form. Today it is called a Quit Claim Deed. The pack provided forms that I had no idea had to be filed with the Quit Claim Deed. I would not have known this otherwise if the option hadn't presented itself. Extremely helpful team of professionals who are patient when you need to get things filed correctly. Very small price for the comfort of knowing your DOCUMENTS are FILED with you local Recorder's Office. Some of the filings, if they are correctly formatted are already uploaded and official within a few hours. Here's the ALTERNATIVE you may encounter. For Example: King County Recorder's Office moved which means most filings are backed up 7-10 days if you DROP your filing in a BOX with your CHECK or MAIL IT. Neither is a great option, since they have no WALK IN HOURS.

Thank you for the prompt instructions on the download and installation. The only problem I had was trying to input data into the form once I renamed the form.and saved it. I was unable to change the size of the font and was very frustrated. In the end I finally had to redo the entire form through Word using your format.

The Affidavit- Death of Joint Tenant form you provided is not the same form as showed on the Los Angeles County property tax website. It appears that the LA county form requires entering additional info that is not included in your form.

One thing I suggest is use the nomenclature Borrower / Lender / instead of Mortgatator / Mortgatee… Had to google which is which ? !
