This form allows the principal to appoint an agent to sell a specific property. To act for me/us and execute all documents, including but not limited to deeds, land contracts, leases, settlement papers, purchase agreements and all other related documents necessary for the sale of said property.
Sec. 5501.
(1) A durable power of attorney is a power of attorney by which a principal designates another as the principal's attorney-in-fact in a writing that contains the words "This power of attorney is not affected by the principal's subsequent disability or incapacity, or by the lapse of time", or "This power of attorney is effective upon the disability or incapacity of the principal", or similar words showing the principal's intent that the authority conferred is exercisable notwithstanding the principal's subsequent disability or incapacity and, unless the power states a termination time, notwithstanding the lapse of time since the execution of the instrument.

The process was easy and reasonable. My only problem was that, when I filled out my form on the computer, the writing I did overlapped with the pre-written words on the form, so that I had to end up doing it by hand. I've used DEEDS before and have not had that problem.

The instructions and example for filling out the form were very clear and detailed making the whole process fairly easy. An attorney I talked to wanted $200 to fill out this simple form. I am a lawyer and purchased a specialized type of deed for a special scenario. The product received was functional, but not great. Wording is slightly clunky and the form layout was not convenient for making a professional final product. The wording also didn't contemplate a remote-state probate, which is a common scenario. Something about the PDF prevented me from doing cut and paste, so I had to do OCR to get the relevant text for inserting in my existing draft deed. Finally, while the site claims it is customized for the exact state and county, it does not appear to be well-customized for that purpose and I had to use other language (not sourced from the deeds.com document) to meet local norms.
