Missouri Personal Representative's Deed for an Independent Personal Representative
The laws governing Missouri probate proceedings are codified at Chapters 472-475 of the Missouri Revised Statutes.
An independent personal representative's deed is a fiduciary instrument used to transfer a decedent's interest in real property to a purchaser. A personal representative (PR), who may alternately be referred to as either an executor or an administrator, is the person appointed by the Probate Division of the Circuit Court to manage the decedent's estate.
Use the personal representative's deed in independent administration when the PR is authorized to sell real estate under a power conferred by the decedent's will ( 473.457, RSMo). The PR's deed must meet all state and local standards for content and format. It also makes reference to the deceased owner and the probate case, and might require supporting documents such as an official copy of the death certificate.

I was somewhat disappointed though - I was expecting something as impressive as the Title Search, which goes back to 1828 and includes Millard Fillmore, admittedly not one of our most celebrated Presidents. I purchased this form to add my boyfriend to the deed of our home. He owns his own business so he cannot be on our mortgage. The guide doesn't clearly explain adding a person rather than focusing on transferring during a purchase or selling of a home. For future, I'd recommend make a few different examples for those who are trying to use this for the other options a Quit Claim Deed is needed for.

Great to have a downloadable form, rather than a cloud solution that gives no guarantee of privacy. Appreciated the sample.......but all of that still left me with open issues about how to tweak the form to serve my particular needs......for example: how to ensure that survivor rights were properly characterized; how far back I should go with the "Source" section + how I should layer my own additions to the chain of ownership, etc. Nonetheless, an overall happy experience.
