The Montana Uniform Probate Code (UPC), codified under Title 72 of the Montana Code, governs probate in that state.

A personal representative (PR), who may also be referred to as either an executor or administrator, is the fiduciary appointed to manage the decedent's estate. The personal representative's deed of distribution is an instrument used in probate proceedings as evidence that a distributee has succeeded to the decedent's interest in real property ( 72-3-904, MCA).

PR deeds must meet all state and local standards, and may need supporting information, depending on the situation. Record the completed deed in the county clerk/recorder's office of the county wherein the subject property is located to transfer title to distributees. This transaction requires a Realty Transfer Certificate, but no sales information as per 15-7-307(9), MCA.

The deed form is hard to fill in. There is no way to fill in the county in the "reviewed by" section. Also, there is no place for the Grantee's address on the form. I had to include it in the fill-in space for the legal description.

its a bit confusing for a novice computer user. I would prefer to print out the forms, fill them out on paper, then attach them to an email to discuss the accuracy of the forms with a friend, and then take the completed forms to the County office to be recorded

You think you're purchasing 1 form for $25 but you are getting several which explains the $25.
My printer ran out of black ink and I couldn't change the color of the text so that it would print. I couldn't copy and paste it to Word and work on it there. I'm going to purchase ink today so that it will at least print right.

I will have to retype the text in Word; not good.
