Requesting a List of Laborers and Material Suppliers in Oklahoma
As a property owner, it's important to get a sense of who is involved in a construction or improvement job on your land because some of these individuals might have eventual lien rights. It's always a headache to deal with a mechanic's lien levied by a subcontractor or other supplier you never even had contact with, even more when you paid your contractor in full.
Sending the contractor a request for a list of laborers and material suppliers requires the contractor to provide a complete list of all laborers and material suppliers who have furnished labor and/or materials for the improvement of the property. The form also demands a mailing address and any other available contact information from each of the laborers and subcontractors along with an accounting of whether those parties have been paid in full or in part. Id. That way, if you discover parties that are unpaid, you can withhold that appropriate payment from the contractor to protect yourself from any lien.

I tried 3 local attorneys and got no where , wrong information, to busy and another one was very rude. One said he'd do it then didn't. I was so stressed and tried a different online form company advertising an in person attorney within hours. They did call back but gave me the wrong answer. I needed a form used in NC and knew about it from the clerk of the court. The deadline was approaching, I looked one more time and found Deeds.com. I am delighted with the form. I just had to go through so much time and expense in order to use it. First, from your site I downloaded Adobe Acrobat. It totally compromised my computer. I had to get a computer expert to walk me through deleting adobe, and put a substitute on in order to use the form. That was an expense of $60.00. Then after that I still had a hard time getting the program to work, as the substitute program would not accept my e-mail address and I finally had to get someone on line to help me access that. I found it was a $$30.00 charge for the substitute. After fighting these lovely roadblocks, I was finally able to fill in the only form I needed and print it off. Took me two days to accomplish that. Why on earth do you offer adobe when it can compromise a computer so badly? Dealing with my husbands death and then having to deal with this, just one of many deterrents, well let's put it this way, it did not make my two days.

Forms are good. But need to be able to fill in information and blanks so these can be filed. Disappointed.
