Under the South Dakota Codified Laws, the beneficiary of an interest in property may disclaim the gift, either in part or in full (SDCL 29A-2-801). Note that the option to disclaim is only available to beneficiaries who have not acted in any way to indicate acceptance or ownership of the interest (29A-2-801).
The disclaimer must be in writing and be filed within nine months of the transfer (e.g., the death of the creator of the interest) with the clerk of the court in which the estate is or was pending (29A-2-801 (b)). If real property is involved, record a copy of the document in the office of the Register of Deeds of the county in which the property is located in order to avoid any ambiguity regarding the chain of title.
A disclaimer is irrevocable and binding for the disclaimant and his or her creditors, so be sure to consult an attorney when in doubt about the drawbacks and benefits. If the interest arises out of jointly-owned property, seek legal advice as well.

Excellent Site for recording documents to respective county Recorder Office. Excellent customer service, very well informed and experienced staff who responds promptly and guide customers throughout recording process. My recording was suspended But KVH (Staff) gave me proper timely advise and guided me for the procedure till recording was done by county office. Deeds.com recorded documents for me without any issue. It's a good service and provides a lot of assistance on its web site. However, I asked for a printed receipt (i.e. an pdf copy of one), but after a staff provided me with an obvious answer, they simply ignored my follow up requests. I also asked a simple formatting question that they should have been able to answer; instead, they passed the buck and referred me to the recorder, which currently is a very time-consuming venture. They also have no telephone number for any issue. Generally, the service saves me the time and effort of physically recording a document, but when you think about $19.00 per recording seems like a steep price for the services rendered.

The documents' format contained information needed to complete the necessary paperwork for filing with Georgia. However, the fields were not large enough to put the legal description in, and there was no way to enlarge the area. These were only semi-helpful in providing what I needed per Georgia's filing requirement.
