Under the South Dakota Codified Laws, the beneficiary of an interest in property may disclaim the gift, either in part or in full (SDCL 29A-2-801). Note that the option to disclaim is only available to beneficiaries who have not acted in any way to indicate acceptance or ownership of the interest (29A-2-801).
The disclaimer must be in writing and be filed within nine months of the transfer (e.g., the death of the creator of the interest) with the clerk of the court in which the estate is or was pending (29A-2-801 (b)). If real property is involved, record a copy of the document in the office of the Register of Deeds of the county in which the property is located in order to avoid any ambiguity regarding the chain of title.
A disclaimer is irrevocable and binding for the disclaimant and his or her creditors, so be sure to consult an attorney when in doubt about the drawbacks and benefits. If the interest arises out of jointly-owned property, seek legal advice as well.

I was in a rush to record a quit claim deed, however due to covid 19 Miami dade county recorders office are not open to public. According to staff I would have to mail in the quit claim deed and wait approximately two weeks for the deed to get recorded. Thanks to Deeds.com I got my document recorded in less than one day. Needed a Limited Power of Attorney form for a real estate transaction in another state. Proper form came up immediately and was fairly easy to complete. I think the sample completed form should have been more completely explained in layman's language instead of legalese (such as person granting permission instead of grantor or something like your name and address and the person who will be signing on your behalf) but since the form was one price no matter how many ways it was printed out, it was fine. I just filled it out several ways and had it notarized and sent it to my sister. Whichever combination is appropriate she and the lawyer will have. I found the site easy to navigate
