Sometimes this form is used to bypass probate when the deceased left a will that leaves the property solely to the direct descendants of the deceased or when 4 years have passed since the death of the owner, the general time frame to probate a will in Texas. An Affidavit of Heirship can be filed anytime. An Affidavit of Heirship alone does not transfer property title. It identifies the heirs of the property.

The Mineral Deed transfer form was pretty good. Could have used more info in the guide about where to find legal property descriptions and source of title. Also more space on the pdf for entering return addresses - there was room for only one; I needed three. I will be sending the form to the County Courthouse soon. I hope it works.

Bought a transfer on death deed form and it worked great. Easy to fill out and record with the County. Got some helpful information from the county recorders office before filling out the form.
