A lis pendens is filed to give notice that a suit is pending on a specific property. That notice is filed in probate court, in the county(s) where the land is located. Upon settlement or termination of the case and by court order it is customary to file a "Withdrawal of Lis Pendens" document. Usually within 30 days of such event. [See Alabama Code 35-4-136. Not totally satisfied as unable to edit as needed on signature page of the deed. I want to be able to date the document and don't want the verbage "signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of" to appear and cannot remove it. The notary will make his or her own statement below as to the date executed.
