Under Georgia law, "title to property in the estate does not pass to the heirs or beneficiaries until the personal representative assents thereto" (OCGA 53-8-15).
Record the completed assent to devise, along with any necessary supporting documents, with the real property records of the appropriate county. This shows that the executor assents to the passing of title from the decedent to the beneficiary.

I had overwhelming emotions taking my deceased wife's name off my condo, so it took me a year to steel myself to submit the form. You form was good the only thing that did not work was the download to fill it out !!! I use a Mac system and maybe that's what the issue was. I filled it out by hand and it worked for the purpose .

Might be adequate if I was desperate. Formatting screams amateur hour -- not a legal issue but likely to invite closer scrutiny when filed. Instructions were supposed to be county-specific but directed me to call the recorder to ask them how to fill out part of the form. Not planning to use the form and would not purchase it again. I could probably do better by uploading some examples and the original mortgage from the Recorder's website into Claude along with the transaction-specific information and asking Claude to prepare a more professional release.
