Find the laws governing the probate administration of real estate at 755 ILCS 5/20.
The executor of an estate is a person named in the decedent's will to manage the distribution of the estate's assets.
An executor's deed is a special document used by the executor of a decedent's estate to transfer real property out of that estate. This document must meet the same form and content standards as so-called "regular" warranty or quitclaim deeds, and incorporate additional information related to the specific transaction. The details may vary based on the situation, but typically include facts about the decedent and the nature of the probate case. (765 ILCS 5/12)
Depending on the case, the executor might include documents such as letters from the probate court or a certified copy of the death certificate when recording the deed. Consult with the court officer or attorney supervising the distribution to confirm which, if any, supporting documentation might be required. After the deed is executed (signed in front of a notary), confirm it with the court if necessary, then file it in the public records for the Illinois county where the property is located.

You had the generic document that I was looking for Yay! The "example" page was helpful and reassuring. The auto input sections of my document looked ok until i printed it and then it appeared to be out of alignment which is why my rating is lowered to 4 stars it would be nice to have the ability to correct the title (created by me) when downloading PDFs for an e-filing

I called the county clerk office yesterday that i wanted to get a deed e-filed and recorded. I was told they are not accepting documents in person because of the COVID 19 pandemic that I have to mail it. I found Deeds.com online and in less than 24hrs i have my document. Order Process: 5 Stars - very easy Material Received: 2 Stars Issues: 1. Printing- Document would not print in format displayed. Format would continually shrink to approx 2/3 size thus not useable for formal doc submission to County Records office. 2. Document Format- Data insertion fields (addresses) were not of correct size for data input. I needed a 4 line input space but was limited to only 3 lines. Also, Date field (year) was mis-oriented in-so-much that the 3rd digit (inputted) overlapped on 2nd digit (pre-printed) and also was of noticeably different font. 3. Useability- Hand-written input space provided (for Notary) was deficient in space and spacing. It was a challenge to utilize the space available to complete fully and maintain legibility. Overall - the document worked marginally as advertised, I did need to re-write the entire document myself. It is a good concept but I'd recommend that Deeds company improve the downloaded forms for actual useability, readability, functionability. regards, Jim S
