Use this form when the land owner wishes to completely cancel a previously recorded transfer on death deed. A revocation of transfer on death deed allows the owner to formally revoke the future conveyance and enter that change in the public record.
According to IC 32-17-14-16, there are two primary ways to revoke a transfer on death deed in Indiana:
If the real estate owner (grantor) decides to change the beneficiary or modify the way in which beneficiaries will hold title to the property when the owner dies, he/she simply completes and records a new transfer on death deed with the updated information.
If the land owner wishes to completely cancel a previously recorded transfer on death deed, a revocation may be a better idea. A properly executed revocation of transfer on death deed allows the owner to formally revoke the future conveyance and enter that change in the public record.

I thought the instructions could have been a little better. I didn't know how to do this if the spouses are married but living in separate residences. Also I didn't understand the "Prior Instrument Reference". That should be explained better. Very sketchy instructions.

Holy cow. I was told by several people that getting a deed recorded would take 7-10 days. So I thought I'd give deeds.com a try with their e-filing service. The form I needed was correct and paginated as required. It was accepted w/o penalties. I was not happy about the information which I found way too scant. One sample form does not cover enough possibilities, more would be helpful. The instruction page is a bit better but sometimes it is not clear enough - sometimes it is not clear what the numbered items in the form correspond to. There is no guidance about the process and it would take very little to provide it. Example about "description", say where to find. There is a bunch of "free forms" attached but no guide on which are needed and when. Example: at the counter I was given a paper "conveyance" form and asked to fill it - I did not know it was needed and what it did and so I had not d
