This form is used by the current lender/mortgagee, (the mortgagee's personal representative or assignee, or those legally acting for the mortgagee, and in case of payment of a school fund mortgage the county auditor, within thirty days of payment in full, shall acknowledge satisfaction thereof by execution of an instrument of satisfaction which is in writing, refers to the mortgage, and is duly acknowledged and recorded.) (Iowa Code 655.1)
Iowa Code 655.5 -- Instrument of satisfaction
When the judgment is paid in full, the mortgagee shall file with the clerk a satisfaction of judgment which shall release the mortgage underlying the action. A mortgagee who fails to file a satisfaction within thirty days of receiving a written request shall be subject to reasonable damages and a penalty of five hundred dollars plus reasonable attorney fees incurred by the aggrieved party, to be recovered in an action for the satisfaction by the party aggrieved.

Sounds like you may be trying to complete the form in your browser. The document needs to be downloaded and saved to you computer, then opened in Adobe.

This was the first time I had ever had to fill out a Warranty Deed, so if it was not for your example form on how to fill one out, I would be still be here completely lost. I had originally gone to another site for a Warranty Deed & they wanted double the amount of your price & their website had no examples forms. I am so happy with your site & service. It was frustrating to get the scans done but that might have been due to a learning curve. After 4 tries they were accepted. I couldn't figure out how to delete or close the failed attempts. Waiting to see if Recorder office has changed the title.

THIS SERVICE IS DIFFICULT TO USE AND TROUBLESOME, IN MY PROFESSIOBAL OPINION; a true NUGHTMARE! As a Title / Petroleum Land Professional (Landman), I use a wide variert of online title research tools and services. Mist are EXTREMELY COMPREHENSIVE, and relatively easy to perform one’s research. I am beginning to beliece that there is no search intrrfaxe here; just a long list of instructions full of circular references that simply tuns the researcher around and around to the same pages repeatedly. This service takes users NOWHERE. Good luck to those seeking to waste their time reading a vast set of redundant words and NO INTERFACE FOR CREATING OR EXECUTING AN AXTUAL SEARCH.
