Discharging a Claim of Mechanics or Construction Lien in Michigan
Lien claims must be discharged when the underlying claim is paid or the lien must be dissolved for any other reason provided by law. To accomplish this, the claimant records a discharge of lien document in the Register of Deeds in the county where the property is located. The lien is officially released after recording this form.
The discharge of lien form contains the following information: (1) lien claimant's name, (2) amount of the lien claim, (3) the book and page number where the recorded lien claim can be found in the county register of deeds, (4) property owner's name, (5) legal property description, and (6) common name of the property. Take care when discharging the lien, because once the lien has been officially released, the claimant loses a valuable tool to coerce payment.

After some initial general confusion -- (we sold a small piece of land privately and therefore do not typically prepare such documentation (!)) -- we were able to purchase and download all forms from Deeds.com and understand how to complete it/them. Sign up process was fine. The search could be refined a bit to make it easier. Rather than being presented with a large number of fields and trying to figure out, it say street suffice (Drive, Street, Lane) are needed and with what spelled out, what abbreviated it would be nice to have them presented as questions with examples. The $30 price point of r a deed is way too high for me as an appraiser. This is why I didn't complete the transaction.

You dont really know what your buying until after you spend the money. Cant use any of them

Great product. It would be better if the document files were not embedded within other files. It made downloading a little confusing. The titles of the forms did not match exactly word for word, which required a lot of back and forth to make sure I had downloaded the proper document. What would be great is if once you download a document, the hyperlink changed color, or somehow denoted the document had been downloaded. Just a suggestion. You have my email address if you have questions. STILL! Five stars for you guys. I would not let that hiccup dissuade me from buying any form package from you guys. Thanks!

The Affidavit- Death of Joint Tenant form you provided is not the same form as showed on the Los Angeles County property tax website. It appears that the LA county form requires entering additional info that is not included in your form.
