Probate, or the court supervised process of settling and distributing a decedent's estate, is commenced in the county where the decedent maintained a primary residence at the time of his or her death. What happens, though, when a decedent owned real property in New Mexico outside their county of residence?
For those situations, the estate's personal representative, (the fiduciary appointed by the court to administer the estate), is required to execute and file a statutory Notice of Administration under NMSA 1978, 45-1-404 in the county clerk's office where the property is situated.
The notice states the name of the decedent, the title and docket number of the administration proceedings, a description of the type of administration, the court where the administration is commenced, the personal representative's name, title, and address, and a complete legal description of the real property.
The personal representative signs the notice in the presence of a notary public before submitting it for recording. Once recorded in the conveyancing records where the property is located, no other documentation is required concerning the estate's administration in that county (45-1-404(B)).
Along with meeting the statutory content requirements, the document should meet all state and county formatting standards for documents relating to real property. A copy of the notice may be filed in the probate records of the county where probate is opened, though this is not necessary.

Price seemed high (~$28) for just some forms (especially because we may not actually use the forms), but it beats navigating the Hawaii state and Honolulu county websites for forms. It would be better if a single button push would download all 7 or 8 forms.

I had an issue due to the fact that I had many beneficiaries. I was and still am not sure how to handle this. We do have Adobe Pro and can modify the form, if needed. But I would like to talk to your organization for more information.

I thought it was easy, but I wish it were faster. I uploaded my document Monday night (after 5pm) and got my invoice the next morning Tuesday paid it right away. and my document was not sent to me as recorded until Wednesday morning even though it was recorded the day earlier at 8:30am. So there was a delay of almost 24 hours letting me know that my document was recorded. So if they could speed that up so that we knew exactly when it got recorded immediately I would give it a million stars

Deeds.com recorded documents for me without any issue. It's a good service and provides a lot of assistance on its web site. However, I asked for a printed receipt (i.e. an pdf copy of one), but after a staff provided me with an obvious answer, they simply ignored my follow up requests. I also asked a simple formatting question that they should have been able to answer; instead, they passed the buck and referred me to the recorder, which currently is a very time-consuming venture. They also have no telephone number for any issue. Generally, the service saves me the time and effort of physically recording a document, but when you think about $19.00 per recording seems like a steep price for the services rendered.
