The Affidavit of Heirship is a sworn statement used to establish the heirs of a property, with a goal of putting the property in their name. Sometimes this form is used to bypass probate when the deceased left a will that leaves the property solely to the direct descendants of the deceased or when 4 years have passed since the death of the owner, the general time frame to probate a will in Texas. An Affidavit of Heirship can be filed anytime. An Affidavit of Heirship alone does not transfer property title. It identifies the heirs of the property.

It is easy to use but difficult to know when the document has been reviewed for recording and when the invoice is ready. It would be helpful for the website to send an email automatically once the document(s) are ready to be recorded to let you know what the time line is.....Thank you for your help.

LOVE THIS!! I am a REALTORand from time to time I have had to take documents for filing. I'm so glad I invested some time online researching eFiling services. I purchased the Affidavit of Surviving Joint Tenant document and found the whole package of documents to be useful and practical. Successfully recorded!!! While the fillable PDF files are good enough, I personally prefer a Word document as it is easier to modify font or spacing.
