Sometimes this form is used to bypass probate when the deceased left a will that leaves the property solely to the direct descendants of the deceased or when 4 years have passed since the death of the owner, the general time frame to probate a will in Texas. An Affidavit of Heirship can be filed anytime. An Affidavit of Heirship alone does not transfer property title. It identifies the heirs of the property.

Package downloaded without any problems. Help sheet was fair. Maybe they could cross reference the help number on the help sheet to the form better - somehow. Overall, I was pleased. I guess I got what I paid for. The site said I would be able to download blank PDF forms that I could fill out on my computer. I expected fillable forms, like I download for taxes. Instead the forms I got could only be completed by using Adobe Sign and Fill tools. These are much harder to use than fillable forms.
