Fee schedule effective June 1, 2026.
StatewideNo fee is allowed for filing or recording a certificate of death, a verification of death document, or a certified copy thereof. County governments are exempt from the fees when the county or any agency thereof is the grantor or grantee. Section 30-1-103 is repealed effective December 31, 2029.
Recorded document copies: oversized page $1.00 first page / $0.75 consecutive pages; digital copies $3.00 per document. Additional postage and handling: standard-size documents with 1 – 10 pages $1.00; 10 – 61 pages $4.00. Land survey plats: surveyors deposit fee $40.00. DD Form 214: no charge.

Transfer tax
Documentary fee. One cent for each one hundred dollars, or major fraction thereof, of such consideration, when the total consideration exceeds five hundred dollars. The tax is collected when the document is recorded. (statewide, C.R.S. 39-13-102(2))
StatewideThe documentary fee is payable to and collected by the county clerk and recorder, in addition to any other recording fee. No documentary fee is payable when there is no consideration or the total consideration is five hundred dollars or less. When real property in two or more counties is conveyed in a single transaction, each clerk collects a portion of the fee in proportion to the consideration attributable to the property in that county. (C.R.S. 39-13-102)
