Document Requirements
* Documents should be submitted on 20# 8.5 x 11 inch white paper without watermarks or logos.
* Printing should be in dark or black ink and on one side only.
* Continuous forms or forms with permanent binding should not be presented for recording. Documents may be stapled for presentation.
* The minimum type is 8 point. Nonessential information within any margins is exempt from this requirement.
* Signatures must be in black or dark ink to ensure reproduction.
* All signatures must have the corresponding name typed, stamped, or printed underneath.
* Attachments to a page may not be stapled or taped other than a securely attached barcode or label. Attachment does not refer to an exhibit in a document, but additions to a document page.
* The first page should have a top margin of 3 inches. This is designated for the Recorder's certification. All other margins on the first or subsequent pages should be a minimum of .75 of an inch.
* Nonessential information contained within the margins does not have to comply with the 8 point font requirement, but the Recorder is not liable or responsible for insuring that nonessential information is archived. Examples of nonessential information are page numbers, form numbers, return addresses, etc.
* The grantor must sign the document and the signature should have proper acknowledgments.

* Below the 3 inch margin, include a title for the document.
* Date of document.

If there is not sufficient room on the first page for the required information, the page reference within the document where the information is set out shall be stated on the first page. If one of the required fields begins on the first page and continues uninterrupted to subsequent pages, that meets the first page requirement.
DESIGNATIONS:
1. In order to be indexed, grantors and grantees must be designated. There is no limit as to combinations or exclusions, but the words "grantor" and "grantee" must be included. It is the filer's or preparer's responsibility to make the designations.

3. The address of the property is not accepted as a legal description.
4. Book and page references are required on certain documents, such as releases.
