The executor of an estate is a person named in the decedent's will to manage the distribution of the estate's assets.
An executor's deed is a special document used by the executor of a decedent's estate to transfer real property out of that estate. This document must meet the same form and content standards as so-called "regular" warranty or quitclaim deeds, and incorporate additional information related to the specific transaction. The details may vary based on the situation, but typically include facts about the decedent and the nature of the probate case. (765 ILCS 5/12)
Depending on the case, the executor might include documents such as letters from the probate court or a certified copy of the death certificate when recording the deed. Consult with the court officer or attorney supervising the distribution to confirm which, if any, supporting documentation might be required. After the deed is executed (signed in front of a notary), confirm it with the court if necessary, then file it in the public records for the Illinois county where the property is located.

The Quitclaim deed seems pretty simple However I wonder if I can fll out the paper as easily as it looks I appreciate very much the sample and the direction for filling out the deed. Now I am in the process of gathering document to fill out the deed and I think only when after everything done, I may have a clear idea how good the Quitclaim Deed is. The process for obtaining document itself was easy, and the included guide and example are great! I do have an issue with the format itself, though. The form has pre-defined text boxes, which cannot be altered without partially rebuilding the entire document. For the 'property description' field on the Mineral Deed form, the text box is not large enough for the rather lengthy legal description entered on my original plat. Fortunately, I have a copy of Adobe Pro, so I have been able to re-build the doc to accommodate this short-coming.

My experience so far is quite good. Useful documents. It would be very helpful if the labels on the files downloaded were in text format, like "Jurat" rather than "1429107022SF21141." It would save me the extra step of providing proper file names.
