This form is used by the current lender/mortgagee, (the mortgagee's personal representative or assignee, or those legally acting for the mortgagee, and in case of payment of a school fund mortgage the county auditor, within thirty days of payment in full, shall acknowledge satisfaction thereof by execution of an instrument of satisfaction which is in writing, refers to the mortgage, and is duly acknowledged and recorded.) (Iowa Code 655.1)
Iowa Code 655.5 -- Instrument of satisfaction
When the judgment is paid in full, the mortgagee shall file with the clerk a satisfaction of judgment which shall release the mortgage underlying the action. A mortgagee who fails to file a satisfaction within thirty days of receiving a written request shall be subject to reasonable damages and a penalty of five hundred dollars plus reasonable attorney fees incurred by the aggrieved party, to be recovered in an action for the satisfaction by the party aggrieved.

I wanna give more stars because the required information is there, but the character spacing is disjointed on the first page, rendering a gap-filled, awkward-looking document. Also, the opening parenthesis for the first field on the first page is on the wrong line and is backwards, which sets the wrong tone especially since it's the first thing you have to fill out.

I had a really good experience. I bought two forms from a different website and they didn’t help me at all. Granted, I only paid the minimum here I bought the upgrade and they showed me how to fill it out and what it should look like I went and had it notarized and took it to the county recorder and everything went smoothly. Highly suggest.

LOVE THIS!! I am a REALTORand from time to time I have had to take documents for filing. I'm so glad I invested some time online researching eFiling services. It is easy to use but difficult to know when the document has been reviewed for recording and when the invoice is ready. It would be helpful for the website to send an email automatically once the document(s) are ready to be recorded to let you know what the time line is.....Thank you for your help.
