A North Carolina Lis Pendens can be filed:
1. At or any time after a suit is filed
2. (At or any time after the real property has been attached, or)
3. (At or any time after the filing of an answer or other pleading in which the pleading party states an affirmative claim for relief falling within the provisions of subsection (a) of this section.) ( 1-116)

It's an instant download. I was very pleased that it included instructions and any necessary additional forms. Sign up process was fine. The search could be refined a bit to make it easier. Rather than being presented with a large number of fields and trying to figure out, it say street suffice (Drive, Street, Lane) are needed and with what spelled out, what abbreviated it would be nice to have them presented as questions with examples. The $30 price point of r a deed is way too high for me as an appraiser. This is why I didn't complete the transaction.
