The Affidavit of Heirship is a sworn statement used to establish the heirs of a property, with a goal of putting the property in their name. Sometimes this form is used to bypass probate when the deceased left a will that leaves the property solely to the direct descendants of the deceased or when 4 years have passed since the death of the owner, the general time frame to probate a will in Texas. An Affidavit of Heirship can be filed anytime. An Affidavit of Heirship alone does not transfer property title. It identifies the heirs of the property.

No valid will, or if beneficiaries and/or heirs agree to disregard the will.
Only real estate needs to be transferred to heirs.

The form I needed was correct and paginated as required. It was accepted w/o penalties. I was not happy about the information which I found way too scant. One sample form does not cover enough possibilities, more would be helpful. The instruction page is a bit better but sometimes it is not clear enough - sometimes it is not clear what the numbered items in the form correspond to. There is no guidance about the process and it would take very little to provide it. Example about "description", say where to find. There is a bunch of "free forms" attached but no guide on which are needed and when. Example: at the counter I was given a paper "conveyance" form and asked to fill it - I did not know it was needed and what it did and so I had not d

I found Deeds to be okay except I was hoping it would give me a title or deed to my house if I would have known I would have just got a warranty deed I probably would not have pay the money but it's still worth it

Well, we are 10 days from leaving the country for months and needed to notarize and record deed changes to our rental properties. We worried about USPS, UPS, DHL, etc. and hardcopies in the County's bureaucrats' hands. Soooo, we learned of Deeds.com from the County web site via one of the bulk digital recorders telling me about Deeds.com. Hit their site, read their instructions, concluded my tiny brain and decrepit abilities could handle the chore. WITHIN AN HOUR OF UPLOADING EVERYTHING INCLUDING C.C. TODD Form would not print surveyor degrees character (superscript "o") in Exhibit A. It also would not print the "Return Address" or "Prepared By" entries with my middle name as your example showed.
