Use this form to release, terminate, extinguish a previously recorded document that involves access to and from a property.

1. Easement Deeds or Agreements (An easement is a non-possessory interest in land, granting the right to use someone else's property for a specific purpose, like a driveway or utility line)

This document allows the owner of the land, burdened by the access and the party that benefits from the access, to sign an agreement releasing the property from such access, under the premises the benefiting party no longer needs access. Once the easement is successfully terminated and the release is recorded, it should be reflected in the title records for the property, effectively removing the easement from the property's title.

I tried 3 local attorneys and got no where , wrong information, to busy and another one was very rude. One said he'd do it then didn't. I was so stressed and tried a different online form company advertising an in person attorney within hours. They did call back but gave me the wrong answer. I needed a form used in NC and knew about it from the clerk of the court. The deadline was approaching, I looked one more time and found Deeds.com. The forms are very confusing when there is so much to download! Trying to keep track and make sure you have everything needed is terrible! I think I have everything but I was under the impression I would be filling it out online and with instructions... I am very disappointed to say the least!

I used deeds.com to record a deed because the recording office closed due to Covid 19. It was easy to sign up and upload the documents I needed recorded and within 24 hours possibly even less, the deeds were recorded. I am very happy with the service and the $15 fee was affordable and worth every penny to get it done so quickly.

I purchased the Notice of Completion form because the City of Chula Vista did not have a "fillable" version of this form on their website. The Deeds.com version of this form is somewhat different than the City's version (8 numbered paragraphs vs. 11 numbered paragraphs.) However, it contains the same information in a different format. This form provided more blank space to fill in important items- like a long ownership name- than the version on the City's website. The recorder's office was satisfied with this form as I hand-delivered it to the Recorder's Office and they approved it for recording. Overall, I found this form easy to use and found the extra blank space for writing on the form helpful. My one comment for possible improvement is: it would be even more helpful (particularly for attorney users) to have strike-out capability. I would have liked having the ability to strike-out inapplicable portions of long awkward sentences. Still, I would use this form again.
