StatewideReference to "page" means one side of sheet; double sided sheets are two pages. For recording plats or surveys, the first sheet is $20.00 and each additional sheet of the same plat is $5.00, with affidavits, tax status, etc. submitted with initial filing of a plat at no charge. Conforming a copy of a recorded instrument at the time of recording is $2.00, limit one; a copy made after that time is charged $1.25 for the first page and $0.25 for each additional page of the same document. Copies of plats, full scale on paper, are $5.00 each sheet and on mylar $12.00 each sheet.

Transfer tax

StatewideA borough may not levy or collect a sales or use tax on the transfer of real property, and a city may not levy or collect a sales or use tax on the transfer of real property; both provisions apply to home rule and general law municipalities. StatewideTaping, gluing or stapling one page onto a bigger page to meet margin requirements is not acceptable, and the non standard document fee is also charged for documents with two-hole punches at the top of any page. These margin and font requirements do not apply to UCC fixture documents, plats, or certified copies from government agencies. Do not put RETURN TO information in the margin area of the document.
StatewideDocument must have a title reflecting its overall intent; if a title contains multiple functions, it is indexed under only the first function listed, unless the submitting party requests that it be recorded for multiple purposes and pays the additional fees. Document must include the recording district in which it is to be recorded, clearly stated on the document. Any document that amends, corrects, extends, modifies, assigns, or releases a previously recorded document must contain the book and page or serial number reference of the prior recording. Where a legal description is present it must be complete enough that a particular parcel can be geographically located and identified. Document must be signed and all signatures present must be originals, unless the document is a copy authorized to be recorded by other law; conveyances, powers of attorney, contracts for sale or purchase of real property, and options for the purchase of real property must also be acknowledged. Copies of governmental or court documents must be certified by the appropriate agency in order to be eligible for recording.
