StatewideIf a document being filed or recorded contains more than ten entries to the county recording index, the county clerk collects an additional fee of $25.00 for each additional block of ten or fewer entries to the county recording index from the document (NMSA 1978, § 14-8-15(C)). Of each $25.00 fee, $18.00 is deposited in the county general fund and $7.00 in the county clerk recording and filing fund (§ 14-8-15(E)).
Grantor & Grantee: every name indexed counts as one entry for indexing. Subdivided lots: all lots within the same block are 1 entry. Non-subdivided: all parcels within the same section are 1 entry. Documents that contain separate leases or mortgages are counted separately per lease/mortgage. Images emailed: $1.00 per page. Images burned to CD and/or thumb drive: $0.10 per image plus a processing fee of $15.00.
Transfer tax
No transfer tax. None is collected when a document is recorded. (statewide)
