All recording fees listed above are inclusive of a $10.00 preservation fee charged for each applicable instrument recorded pursuant to Oklahoma Statute Title 28 Section 32 C.

Document Formatting Requirements

* Instruments submitted should be originals or certified copies of originals and shall be clearly legible.

* A deed will not be valid unless it is in writing and subscribed by the grantors. A deed must be acknowledged in order to be recorded.

* Paper should not measure larger than 8.5x14 inches or smaller than 8.5x11 inches. Use white paper, black ink, and a font size of at least 12 point.

* Do not use italicized or bold type, underlined legal descriptions, compressed lettering, or non-reproducible content. Non-reproducible content includes shadows, faxed or other reproduced documents, lightly imprinted notary seals, colored ink signatures (signatures should be in black ink), handwritten information, or small font sizes.

* All documents should provide an area free of printed information sufficient in size to accommodate affixation of documentary stamps, any certification of the payment of mortgage taxes, and the recording information affixed by the county clerk without covering language contained in the instrument. If sufficient space is not provided, the county clerk will attach an additional page.

* The top margin of all documents should be at least 1 inch and all other margins should be at least an inch.

* Describe the property by its specific legal description and provide such information as is necessary for indexing.

* Any consideration given for the real property should be listed in the document.

* Provide the address of the grantee or other designated address to which the instrument is to be delivered after recording.

* If an instrument contains more than twenty-five legal descriptions requiring separate entries in the indexes, the descriptions shall be sorted by addition, block, and lot if platted property or by township, range, and section if described by governmental survey description.
