A California Interspousal Transfer Grant Deed is used to create, transfer, or terminate a real property ownership interest between spouses. This instrument applies to a present owner's interest and has been drafted to comply with the Revenue and Taxation Code Section 63.
A transfer of real property ownership interests between spouses is excluded from reappraisal under the California Constitution Article 13 A &1 et seq. and transfer taxes, as this conveyance establishes sole and separate property of a spouse (RT 11911)

Very good information. Easy access and easy to download. All the forms needed for TOD to be notarized and recorded with the county office. Much better than working with a Trust and the expense of lawyers, especially when several parties are involved and the owner of said property knows exactly to whom the property should go. Having forms and instructions available for the public to have their wishes recorded and confirmed makes handling final planning much easier and prevents family members from having the unnecessary task of going through court to solve property distribution issues. The State form I chose was valid and accurate. However, I found the ability to enter information was inadequate and difficult. Converted the form to a Word document and was then able to enter the information I needed to.
