Fee schedule effective July 1, 2025.
StatewideNo fee is allowed for filing or recording a certificate of death, a verification of death document, or a certified copy thereof. County governments are exempt from the fees when the county or any agency thereof is the grantor or grantee. Section 30-1-103 is repealed effective December 31, 2029.
The office lists document recording fees as $43.00 for each document, and mining claims (Affidavit of Labor/Intention to Hold) as $43.00 for each document. Large plat map printouts (24" x 36") are $10.00, to be prepaid in advance.

Documents received with insufficient fees will be returned. Any overpayment of $10.00 or less will not be refunded. Checks must be signed and dated.
Transfer tax
Documentary fee. One cent for each one hundred dollars, or major fraction thereof, of such consideration, when the total consideration exceeds five hundred dollars. The tax is collected when the document is recorded. (statewide, C.R.S. 39-13-102(2))
StatewideThe documentary fee is payable to and collected by the county clerk and recorder, in addition to any other recording fee. No documentary fee is payable when there is no consideration or the total consideration is five hundred dollars or less. When real property in two or more counties is conveyed in a single transaction, each clerk collects a portion of the fee in proportion to the consideration attributable to the property in that county. StatewideThe clerk and recorder may refuse to record or file any document that does not conform to the margin requirements. Verification of application forms defined in section 38-29-102(13) are excepted.
A package submitted with multiple document types will be rejected, and the submitter will be directed to separate each document type and resubmit. A document with exhibits may be recorded as one document if the first page notes that exhibits are attached, the exhibits are clearly marked as exhibits, and the documents meet all submission requirements.
