StatewideNo fee is allowed for filing or recording a certificate of death, a verification of death document, or a certified copy thereof. County governments are exempt from the fees when the county or any agency thereof is the grantor or grantee. Section 30-1-103 is repealed effective December 31, 2029.
Land Survey Plats: $20 per page, fee set by BOCC Resolution 89-41. UCC filings (real estate fixture filings only): $13 flat fee for 1-2 pages, $18 flat fee for 3 or more pages, $8 flat fee for all e-recorded UCC statements. Military Discharge/DD214: no charge. Copies of recorded documents made by staff: $1.25 per standard page printed; oversized page $5.00 a page; digital copies no charge.

Transfer tax
Documentary fee. One cent for each one hundred dollars, or major fraction thereof, of such consideration, when the total consideration exceeds five hundred dollars. The tax is collected when the document is recorded. (statewide, C.R.S. 39-13-102(2))
StatewideThe documentary fee is payable to and collected by the county clerk and recorder, in addition to any other recording fee. No documentary fee is payable when there is no consideration or the total consideration is five hundred dollars or less. When real property in two or more counties is conveyed in a single transaction, each clerk collects a portion of the fee in proportion to the consideration attributable to the property in that county. (C.R.S. 39-13-102)
The towns of Breckenridge, Frisco and Silverthorne assess a municipal tax on certain real property transfers: Breckenridge RETT (Real Estate Transfer Tax), Frisco REIF (Real Estate Investment Fund), Silverthorne RETA (Real Estate Transfer Assessment). The County Clerk & Recorder does not administer or manage municipal real property taxation with regard to recorded documents. Applicability varies by Town.

Daily cutoff time for electronic submissions is 3PM MST. Transfer declarations (TD-1000) are submitted to the Clerk & Recorder with applicable documents and forwarded to the Assessor's Office; they are not required for transactions involving timeshares. The office cannot provide forms or assistance in filling out legal documents.
