Tax liens by a state or local government agency: $5 first page, $2 additional cost after first page, $2 additional cost reference fee. UCC-1 financing statement with assignment: $50.

Transfer tax

Real estate transfer tax. $1.00 for the first $1,000.00 or fractional part of $1,000.00 and at the rate of 10¢ for each additional $100.00 or fractional part of $100.00. The tax is collected when the document is recorded. (statewide, O.C.G.A. § 48-6-1)

StatewideIntangible recording tax: $1.50 per each $500.00 or fraction thereof of the face amount of all notes secured, levied on each instrument securing one or more long-term notes secured by real property; maximum tax on a single security instrument is $25,000 (O.C.G.A. § 48-6-61; Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 560-11-8-.02).
