A North Carolina Lis Pendens can be filed:
1. At or any time after a suit is filed
2. (At or any time after the real property has been attached, or)
3. (At or any time after the filing of an answer or other pleading in which the pleading party states an affirmative claim for relief falling within the provisions of subsection (a) of this section.) ( 1-116)

Waste of money. The deed form was not printable after completion. Had to create a new form in word on my own.

Your website advertising was somewhat deceptive regarding doing a quitclaim on a name change. "If you are transferring the property to yourself under your new name, all you have to do is update the deed from your former name to your current one." This made this sound easy. But when I downloaded the material for my state, expecting to find an example, there was no example of how to do a name change quitclaim deed! I therefore had to figure this out myself. You might have provided a warning about certain uses that were not covered in the material so that people know ahead of time that the use they needed to know about wasn't covered in the material.

This was so easy to download, open the files and then complete the document on the computer then printing out. I waited to review this until we took it to Courthouse for the Recorder of Deeds and the legal task is now done. An attorney would probably have charge $300. This is a real deal packet!

Great to have a downloadable form, rather than a cloud solution that gives no guarantee of privacy. Appreciated the sample.......but all of that still left me with open issues about how to tweak the form to serve my particular needs......for example: how to ensure that survivor rights were properly characterized; how far back I should go with the "Source" section + how I should layer my own additions to the chain of ownership, etc. Nonetheless, an overall happy experience. I found Deeds to be okay except I was hoping it would give me a title or deed to my house if I would have known I would have just got a warranty deed I probably would not have pay the money but it's still worth it
