StatewideMaps and plats are $10.00 per page. Fees under O.C.G.A. § 15-6-77(f) include recording and returning the document.

Cross-indexing to a previous instrument (mandatory or by request): no fee. Tax liens by a state or local government agency: $5.00, plus $2.00 for each page after the first page, plus $2.00 for each tax cancellation, satisfaction, release, notice, withdrawal or other document reference. All other miscellaneous recordings: $5.00; second page and over $2.00. Veteran's discharge: $0. Certified copy after the first page: $0.50 (in office); $1.00 (mail or phone request). Copy, assisted (all phone/mail requests): $1.00. Copy, oversize, larger than 8 1/2" x 14": $2.00 per page.

Transfer tax

Real estate transfer tax. $1.00 for the first $1,000.00 or fractional part of $1,000.00 and at the rate of 10¢ for each additional $100.00 or fractional part of $100.00. The tax is collected when the document is recorded. (statewide, O.C.G.A. § 48-6-1)

StatewideIntangible recording tax: $1.50 per each $500.00 or fraction thereof of the face amount of all notes secured, levied on each instrument securing one or more long-term notes secured by real property; maximum tax on a single security instrument is $25,000 (O.C.G.A. § 48-6-61; Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 560-11-8-.02).
