About the Ford County Register of Deeds
Land records in Ford County are recorded by the Register of Deeds. The office is held by Brenda Pogue.
StatewideReal estate sales validation questionnaires are not filed of record; the register of deeds retains them for five years and then destroys them.
Records date back to the 1800s and are kept in the record room, which is open to the public for research. The office also records honorable discharges for veterans. Online records are available through Tapestry (pay-as-you-go by credit card) and Laredo (subscription); in Laredo, all records except deeds go back to 2001 and deeds go back to 1963, with older records being indexed gradually.
