The primary purpose in granting this Durable Power of Attorney is to appoint an Agent to
Act in your place with respect to all financial and health care needs should you become disabled or incapacitated. Accordingly, the Agent shall have all powers as are necessary or desirable to make decisions on your behalf for your best interests in accordance with the Uniform Power of Attorney Act, RCW 11.125 et seq.

This Power of Attorney revokes any and all previous Powers of Attorney.
Appoints a Primary Agent and Alternate Agent if needed.

Termination:
As long as you have capacity, you may revoke this Power of Attorney by written notice to your Agent and, if this Durable Power of Attorney is recorded, by recording the same written notice of revocation in the county office where deeds are recorded. Otherwise, this Durable Power of Attorney shall terminate upon your death in all respects, other than the disposition of your remains as authorized under RCW 68.50.160.

Applicable Law:
The laws of the State of Washington shall govern this Power of Attorney.

I thought the forms were reasonably priced, the instructions included in the packet were thorough, and the examples helpful. Thank you for the additional CDR forms too. I contacted the Recorder's office via email with a question and Jennifer Bowser answered promptly. Job well done! However, when I delivered the deed and Real Property Transfer Declaration to the Clerk's office in Lafayette, the clerk was unfamiliar with the Declaration document being submitted and it took some time to convince her to submit the form without charging the recording fee. She even tried to phone the recorder's office for clarification, but no one answered. There then was an additional form at that office that I had to complete called Recording Request/Transmittal Form. I would suggest including that form with instructions in your on-line packet to speed up the process when a Deed is delivered to the County Clerk's satellite office. I do not expect every clerk to know all the particulars of recording requirements but a little knowledge wouldn't hurt.
