Ohio Memorandum of Trust
Under O.R.C. 5301.255, the memorandum of trust is a document that certifies a trustee has the authority to act on behalf of an existing trust. The trustee is the person or entity who holds title to a trust's assets on behalf of a settlor. A trustee might furnish a memorandum of trust upon the request of a lending institution or other third party in lieu of the trust document.
The memorandum is an abstract of the trust document, containing only relevant information about the trust, such as the identity and powers or restriction of powers of the trustee relative to real property, the name of the trust's settlor, and the name and date of the trust. The identity of any party having a beneficial interest in the trust is not disclosed. The memorandum might also quote relevant sections of the trust document directly.
Like all recorded documents concerning real property, the memorandum must also contain a legal description of the real property subject to the trust, the property's parcel identification number, and information about the prior deed granting title to the trustee. The document is executed and acknowledged by the trustee in front of a notary before it is recorded in the county wherein the real property subject to the trust is located. In special cases, such as with a disclosed but unrecorded trust in the State of Ohio, the memorandum is executed by the settlor and the trustee together, attested by witnesses, and acknowledged by the settlor and trustee.

It was very difficult to maneuver through your website the wording on certain things are very difficult to figure out. I can't seem to get through to one place that I want versus what I don't want. This site was easy to use for access to State forms for filing in Montmorency County clerks office. Not only did I find claim form but a sample claim was available for assisting on how to complete your form correctly. Found this so very useful for us (public resident) to fill in the form as a .PDF file that prints out typed form - rather than handwritten entries. There is a fee but your access is always available on internet to this site in the future. Saved me time using this site and My filed form looks professional. You have access to several other forms if needed.

I was able to e-record 3 document with ease. The Middlesex registry of deeds is closed due to COVID-19 and this was my only option. Even if it was open, this is much faster and saves me time and money on parking ..etc. Great services.

AMAZING! Easy to use, reasonable fee - and get MUCH MORE than just a deed form. I ordered a "deed" and received a whole "package," including a guide and the jurisdiction's costs schedule and cover page that would be needed to record the deed - even included a Certificate of Transfer that is not required for a deed but something I needed for a different transaction. The website was extremely easy to use and the cautions about not disclosing personal information were so clear and personal, they made me feel secure in knowing this site was not trying to rip me off.
