Fee schedule effective February 27, 2017.
Two recording systems. Regular System: $41.00 per document up to and including 50 pages; $106.00 per document for 51 pages or more. Land Court: $36.00 per document up to and including 50 pages; $101.00 per document for 51 pages or more; Certificate of Title issuance $50.00; each additional memorandum on Certificates required by any one instrument $5.00; certified copy of Certificate of Title $10.00. Certified copies of documents: $10.00 plus $1.00 per page plus $10.00 processing fee. UCC1, UCC3 and UCC5: $41.00 per document. UCC11 information request: $25 per search request plus $5.00 for each creditor found. Under HAR §13-16-22(b), no fees are charged for recording an instrument in which the United States, the State of Hawaii, or a county of the State is the grantee, lessee, mortgagee, assignee, vendee, licensee, or permittee.

Transfer tax
Conveyance Tax. Per $100 of the actual and full consideration, by property value: $.10 (less than $600,000) up to $1.00 ($10,000,000 or greater); for a condominium or single family residence whose purchaser is ineligible for a county homeowner's exemption, $.15 up to $1.25. Not less than $1.00 per transaction. The tax is collected when the document is recorded.
Tiers in the Department of Taxation instructions, per $100 of actual and full consideration: less than $600,000, $.10 ($.15); $600,000 to under $1,000,000, $.20 ($.25); $1,000,000 to under $2,000,000, $.30 ($.40); $2,000,000 to under $4,000,000, $.50 ($.60); $4,000,000 to under $6,000,000, $.70 ($.85); $6,000,000 to under $10,000,000, $.90 ($1.10); $10,000,000 or greater, $1.00 ($1.25). Figures in parentheses apply to the sale of a condominium or single family residence for which the purchaser is ineligible for a county homeowner's exemption. The tax is administered by the Department of Taxation, but forms and payments are submitted to the Bureau of Conveyances. It is imposed regardless of whether a document is recorded. The instructions list documents for which Form P-64A is not required, including documents given to secure a debt or obligation.

On the first page, the top 3-1/2 inches are reserved for recording information; the following 1 inch is reserved for the return name and complete mailing address, beginning 1-1/2 inches from the left margin and not exceeding 3-1/2 inches per line.
Pages must be numbered consecutively beginning with one, with the total page count referenced on the first page; stapled once or fastened in the upper left corner; no cover or backer attached; no attached materials that conceal text. Rivets may be removed.

Documents are recorded in the Regular System or the Land Court system. Recordation hours are 8:01 a.m. to 3:29 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays. The mailing address is P.O. Box 2867, Honolulu, HI 96803. The Bureau does not provide pre-printed deed forms.
